The newly found Greek manuscript — Cod. Athos. Panteleemon. Gr. 283 — includes some unknown hitherto translations of Russian medieval hagiographical and liturgical texts made by famous Athonite author and copyist Jacobos Neaskytiotes, as well as other materials on Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian history of Athos. The Codex includes such texts as “Akolouthia for Antony Pechersky”, his “Life”, “Church service for Theodosios of the Caves (Pechersky)”, his “Life”, “The Life of Metrophanes of Voronezh” and other texts. The manuscript is dated from July 1848.
